Are You Setting Realistic Expectation

Are you setting realistic expectations?

I wonder if we kept the same watch on weight while it increased, the way we keep while we shed the weight. It wouldn't have increased in the first place. We are so desperate to run behind results that we would go down to any level to get that number on the scale.

Following a ruthless diet, insane workouts, starving, powder supplements, and all short cuts which just gives a temporary solution to weight loss but also damages our metabolism.

So let's check our expectations and match them with reality:

The scale will go up and down:

You haven't gained all that weight in a couple of months to lose it in a couple of months. There are a lot of factors affecting weight loss progress water retention, menstrual cycle, hormonal imbalance, stress, cheats, and not-so-great workouts. So hold on and don't lose your motivation for temporary hiccups.

You won't lose weight every week:

Again it's not a race. The above factor will impact your progress. Just follow your routine and your workout body will have no option but cooperate for its good. Keep putting in work regardless.

Progress just doesn't mean losing weight:

Progress just doesn't mean weight loss it's your overall inch loss, strength, endurance fitting in your older clothes, and improved energy levels. Do watch out for these signals.

You will lose motivation:

If your looking for motivation from the outside world you have already lost the battle. Results can only be achieved when you are ready to take whatever it takes despite being motivated or not. Look for motivation within. Define your WHY.

You will hit a plateau:

This is bound to happen in any journey just accept and remain consistent, you won't even realize and you will be off it completely.

You will have bad days:

We are humans it's very natural to fall off track. Just acknowledge and get going. Don't make your cheat meal a cheat day or week. Bouncing back is all it needs.

You will want to quit:

No matter what just don't quit. Consistency, determination, and willpower make the impossible possible. Just sleep over it and hit back even harder. When you feel like quitting just think about why you started in the first place.

If anyone of this is bothering you, I'm, just a message away. Let's set some realistic expectations and make our fitness journey beautiful and successful.
